Letting go. We hear these words often—in spiritual circles, self-help books, and wellness spaces. But what does letting go really mean? Is it about cutting something out of your life? Banishing it? Forgetting it ever happened?
What if I told you that letting go isn’t about pushing something away, but about bringing it in closer—about embracing it, thanking it, and releasing it not into the void, but back to the Divine?
The Circle of Return
So many of the patterns we struggle with—those inner critics, defense mechanisms, and limiting beliefs—aren’t flaws. They’re not signs that you’re broken or failing. They are helpers, shaped by past experiences, ancestral imprints, and survival instincts.
These patterns once protected you. They were your inner guardians, shielding you in times when you didn’t have the tools or support to navigate certain challenges. And while they may no longer serve you, they deserve to be honored, not exiled.
Letting go is an act of love. But it’s easy to picture it as a form of separation—to imagine the pattern, belief, or habit leaving the circle, floating off into the distance.
Here’s the truth:
When you release something back to the light, you’re not sending it away. You’re returning it to the Divine, inviting it to remember its true nature. You’re not banishing the thing itself—you’re dissolving the form it once took, the limited way it expressed itself in your life.
Calling something into the circle is not an act of rejection. It is an act of inclusion. It is an invitation for that part of you—or of life itself—to be seen clearly, to shed its old form, and to merge with the truth of creation.
When we open ourselves to this understanding, we realize: there is nothing in existence that we cannot embrace. This is the secret to embracing all aspects of your being—for there is literally nothing you have ever done, or will ever do, that was not in some way an expression of the Divine.
Letting go, then, is not about pushing something away, but about allowing it to dissolve into its higher essence, releasing it so it can remember itself.
Reflection
Take a moment today to reflect:
-
What patterns in your life feel heavy?
-
Can you thank them for the role they’ve played?
-
Are you willing to let them return to the Divine, trusting that they are part of a greater whole?
Let your heart soften. Let gratitude lead. Let go by letting in. 🌿
