Avatar Apothecary is dedicated to honoring the land, the ancient traditions & indigenous people who have for millennia been the guardians of balance on this planet, and we believe that giving back is essential to being in integrity with true medicine work. We do this through our fair trade relations with indigenous conservationists, farmers, and artisans, & we are dedicated to our continued investment into planting many acres of medicinal plant gardens as well as reforestation and soil rebuilding projects in the heart of the Amazon.
A percentage of our profits will be dedicated to the empowerment of indigenous families who are doing the work to preserve their cultures and protect the forest. To engage in sustainable practices is not enough in this day and age, we must assure that our ventures are truly regenerative. To be in reciprocity is to be truly grateful and to acknowledge the great abundance that nature provides to us every day, with every breath & every meal.
Truly, we could not live or breathe or eat or drink without our mother earth. Her beauty is a reminder to us all of the beauty that is within. She never abandons us, even when we have forgotten and disrespected her. It is time for us all to remember that with and through her we are forever connected to the divine essence of life itself. William 'Brown' Koroskenyi, also known as Brother Bear, is an initiated maestro curandero, and a sacred wisdom keeper specializing in curanderismo, spiritual shamanic medicine, and healing with sacred plant remedies. With a deep connection to the mysteries of the natural world, Brother Bear brings his expertise and experience to guide individuals on their spiritual journey.
For over ten years, Brother Bear immersed himself in the art of Amazonian Curanderismo, living in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest. Alongside his wife and the indigenous people, he studied the master plants that have guided them for millennia. During his apprenticeship, Brother Bear spent months in isolation, partaking in plant ceremonies, searching for medicinal plants in the depths of the jungle, and learning from indigenous curanderos and teachers.
Under the profound guidance of the master plants and the indigenous maestros, Brother Bear flourished, growing in his healing abilities, teaching skills, and his commitment as a steward of the earth. These ancient plants shared with him a code of ethics and protocols for harvesting, preparing, and administering natural remedies to patients. Through dreams and visions, they gifted him their wisdom, meditations, and foundations for understanding.
Driven by a deep calling, Brother Bear decided to bring his remedies out of the jungle and share them with people around the world. His mission is to remind humanity of the intimate communion we can have with the spirit of Mother Nature. After years of dedicated study, internal investigation, and serving humanity at The Avatar Centre in Peru, Brother Bear has gained profound insights into the interconnectedness of all living beings.
During his apprenticeship, Brother Bear learned that water holds memory, plants have spirits, and that every curandero who has dieted the master plants carries a living forest within them. He discovered that even after a plant has been harvested, its spirit remains alive and can still be connected with and learned from. Understanding that each of us is like an antenna capable of shifting our frequency and changing our reality, Brother Bear and his wife have downloaded a series of sacred songs and rituals that elevate one's frequency to new heights.
